Who I am

I'm Annie Bright, an Assistant Professor at St. Mary's University School of Law in San Antonio, Texas where I teach Constitutional Law courses. My research investigates immigration law and policy, constitutional law, and the lived experience of people moving through the immigration systems.

What this site is

I don't use social media, so this site is where I put the things that don't fit neatly into a journal article—reactions to what's happening in law and policy, reflections on my research as it develops, and honest post-mortems on my own writing.
